Products featuring my Artwork available at Society6!

I am pleased to announce the opening of my new shop at Society6!  Most of the artwork featured are from my sketchbooks since unlike my Etsy Shop (which you can enjoy Free Shipping until December 2nd, 2012 with coupon code CYBERMONDAY), I cannot sell the original copies of those.  You can order my art as a framed print, stretched canvas, tote bag, shirt (in men’s and women’s sizes), hoodies, cards (men’s and women’s), iPhone and iPod case and skin, laptop and iPad skin, and throw pillow.  These products make great presents for the upcoming holidays.  There is also a lot of talent in this website so if you make a purchase, you are supporting independent artists.

I am very excited about this.  One of my early New Years’ resolutions was to be more active in art making and in selling my art.  This is only the beginning.

Clicking on each picture below will lead you straight to the store.  Also, I will be posting a link that goes straight to my Society6 store on the menu bar.

Sun and Hills Landscape Print starting at $19.97.

Hype! iPad Skin $25.00

Poppies iPhone case $35.00

Watercolor and Pen Circles Throw Pillow starting at $20.00

Some Artwork That I Find Amazing

Hey everyone!  I decided to deviate from my usual Instagram Fridays post and feature some amazing artwork that I’ve seen online this week.

This piece was featured in the blog post Friday Finds: Word Up!. by Artsy Forager.  I’m starting to fall more in love with word art and how I can include it into my work.  Plus, the message of this piece is very clear.

Member Spotlight: Rik Catlow by Doodlers Anonymous

While most people including myself would recycle a beer or soda can (Note: I actually made a bracelet out of a soda can and wore it all summer) , Rik Catlow uses it as a canvas for his urban pop style art.

Finally, I love the style of this piece titled “Be Fabulous” a bohemian art poster by Etsy seller Jenndalyn.  The combination of collage, texture, and color really stand out to me.

Instagram Fridays: Some of my Zentangle Inspired Art

Lately, I’ve been getting into the art of Zentangle.  Basically what Zentangle is the art of meditative doodling.  Since I was a kid, I’ve always been drawing designs on the margins of my notebook, so when I learned that there is a whole art movement similar to my doodles, I was excited.

I’ve been posting some of my Zentangles on Instagram because I realized that it was a great place to share my artwork with the community.  I feel a sense of pride whenever someone who doesn’t follow me likes my work. 😀

Note: This piece was done on Ampersand Scratchbord.  It’s also for sale!  Contact me at abbyescart@gmail.com if you’re interested.
